We decided to look at a few different adverts which have already been used in order to try and see what is affective and what is not. I realised that after looking at all the adverts and then watching the video or song it was advertising, i could see that colour played a massive part of the subconscious understanding of the advert. For example, the massive attack advert looks rather strange and slightly mysterious, this is reflected in the song. The Midlake advert portrays the song as being rather Gothic and heavy and without a doubt, it was what i expected. Therefore while making my own advert, I made sure that I reflected the song. i now know that i must use colour and fun ideas in order to get the viewer to understand my song without having to initially watch it.
